Mahindra has refreshed its longest-running SUV, the Bolero, with a thoughtful 2025 update. First launched in 2000, the Bolero has remained a symbol of durability and dependability across India's rural and semi-urban landscapes.

Other interior enhancements include steering-mounted controls for easier access to music and calls, a USB Type-C charging port for faster device charging, and bottle holders integrated into the door pads for added convenience. Higher trims now feature new leatherette upholstery, adding a layer of comfort and sophistication. Dual airbags continue as standard across all variants, ensuring basic safety remains uncompromised.

Powertrain

Under the bonnet, the Bolero continues with its tried-and-tested 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine that produces 76hp and 210Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. This setup has proven its reliability over decades and remains ideal for the SUV's rugged, body-on-frame construction.

Other Changes

The biggest mechanical change for 2025 lies underneath-the outdated leaf spring suspension at the rear has been replaced with a new damper system. This modern setup automatically adapts to rough roads and uneven surfaces, significantly improving comfort and stability.
