New Nissan MPV Teased - Badge Engineered Triber Is Just A Week Away
Nissan will unveil its all-new compact MPV for India on 18 December 2025, marking the brand's next major model introduction for the market. The upcoming Nissan B-MPV has been undergoing extensive road testing across multiple regions and is now set for its first public reveal ahead of its 2026 launch.
The new Nissan MPV is built on the CMF-A platform shared with the Renault Triber, becoming the latest jointly developed product under the Renault-Nissan Alliance. Test mule sightings indicate a familiar silhouette but with notable changes to the front design, including a reworked grille, headlamp profile and bumper styling.

Test mules of the upcoming Nissan MPV have also shown fresh alloy-wheel designs, while the rear is expected to receive revised bumper elements and tail-lamp detailing to further distinguish it from the Triber. Nissan is targeting a more modern and assertive appearance without altering the MPV's basic proportions and three-row layout.
Interior details remain under wraps, although platform sharing suggests a practical cabin with flexible seating and a focus on space efficiency. Features are expected to include touchscreen infotainment, digital instrumentation, connected functions and multi-row adjustability aimed at maximising usability for families and commercial operators.
Powertrain information is currently not available, but the new Nissan MPV is widely expected to offer the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine used in comparable Alliance products. Output figures are anticipated to align closely with the Triber's 72PS and 96Nm, paired with manual and automated manual transmissions.
A CNG option may also be introduced depending on final variant planning, though this is likely to be a dealer-level fitment. Nissan's positioning strategy for its new B-MPV will likely mirror the Triber's accessibility while offering differentiation in styling and feature combinations across trims.
We expect the upcoming MPV to cost between ₹6.00-9.00 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it directly against established nameplates including the Renault Triber, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Toyota Rumion. Exact variant distribution, colour options and feature lists will be announced during or after the 18 December debut.
