2026 Mahindra Bolero: A Sneak Peek & Expectations
Mahindra is preparing to launch a new version of its popular SUV, the Bolero, in 2026. Futhermore, spy photos have provided us a0 glimpse into the design of this upcoming model, and we used AI to recreate the model.
That said, the prototype, although heavily camouflaged, displays a boxier shape with an upright stance. It features a redesigned grille with vertical slats, new circular LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, and a clamshell bonnet.

The side view of the vehicle reveals distinct squarish wheel arches complemented by body cladding. It also sports new dual-tone alloy wheels and short overhangs. A significant change is expected in its foundation; the 2026 Mahindra Bolero will likely introduce Mahindra's brand-new 'Freedom NU' flexible platform, set to be unveiled on 15 August 2025.
Inside, the cabin was partially covered in the spy images but showed an all-black theme. A new three-spoke steering wheel and a large touchscreen infotainment system were visible. The dashboard has been redesigned as well. Earlier spy shots indicated that the Bolero might come with a semi-digital instrument cluster featuring a large colour TFT MID and dual-zone climate control.
Other expected features are wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, wireless phone charging, powered driver's seat, push-button start, auto-dimming IRVM, keyless entry, ventilated front seats, and ambient lighting.
It is also widely reported that advanced features could include Level-2 ADAS technology with forward collision warning, auto emergency braking, lane departure warning, and traffic sign recognition.
Engine Specifications
The engine for the new Mahindra Bolero is anticipated to remain the same as the current model's 1.5L mHawk diesel engine. However, the new SUV could feature a new 6-speed manual transmission paired with a rear-wheel drive system.
