New Mahindra Bolero & Bolero Neo SUVs To Be Launched Today In India!
Mahindra is gearing up to unveil the facelifted versions of its two popular utility vehicles - the Bolero and Bolero Neo - in India today. This launch marks a key update for both SUVs, though with slightly different significance for each.
While the Bolero Neo is set to receive its first facelift since debuting in 2021, the standard Bolero will undergo what is likely its final major update before an all-new generation arrives in the coming years.
The Bolero nameplate itself holds a special place in India's automotive history. Having been on sale for over two decades, it has built an enduring legacy as one of the country's most trusted and reliable SUVs. Known for its rugged durability and simple mechanicals, the Bolero has become a household name, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas where dependability and ease of maintenance matter most. Even after so many years, the Bolero continues to post impressive sales figures, a testament to its loyal customer base and its iconic status among utility vehicles.
As for the upcoming facelifts, leaked images have already given enthusiasts a fair idea of what to expect. Both the Bolero and Bolero Neo will sport refreshed front section, including redesigned grilles and bumpers, giving them a more modern and assertive appearance. Updated alloy wheels and minor styling tweaks further distinguish the 2025 iterations.
The interiors are expected to see some enhancements too, possibly with new upholstery, a revised dashboard layout, and added convenience features. However, Mahindra has kept the details under wraps for now.
Mechanically, both models will continue with Mahindra's tried-and-tested 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engines. In the Bolero, the mHawk75 unit develops 75bhp and 210Nm of torque, while the Bolero Neo's mHawk100 motor delivers a higher output of 100bhp and 240Nm. Both SUVs will be paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, staying true to their simple, rugged nature.
