New Kia App Enhances Digital Experience For European Drivers With Unified Features

Kia Europe has introduced a new app to enhance the ownership experience for its customers across Europe. This app combines several existing services into one platform, making it easier for users to manage their vehicles. The rollout began in May, and the app is now available for download in the UK.

The Kia App integrates five previous apps: Kia Connect, Kia Charge, MyKia, Kia Warranty Book, and Kia Owner’s Manual. This consolidation offers a streamlined experience with features that improve connectivity, charging, and vehicle management. Users can access all these services with a single sign-in.

One of the app's standout features is remote vehicle control. Users can start their car, adjust climate settings, lock or unlock doors, and more from their mobile device. However, some functions like remote starting are limited to certain electrified models.

The app also supports navigation planning. Drivers can plan routes with recommended charging stops for electric vehicles (EVs). They can send these routes directly to their car's navigation system. Additionally, drivers can search for Points of Interest (POI) and receive driving insights to promote safer and more efficient driving habits.

Kia Charge functionalities are fully integrated into the app. With over 960,000 charging points across 27 European countries, users can locate and filter stations based on personal preferences. Charging sessions can be remotely activated or stopped through the app.

The app also allows users to manage their Kia Charge contract and tariff while viewing their personal charging history. This feature simplifies the process of keeping track of charging activities and expenses.

Maintenance and Service Support

Vehicle maintenance is made easier with the new app. Owners can book service appointments directly with Kia dealers or workshops. The digital service history, warranty booklet, and owner’s manual are also accessible within the app.

The transition to this new platform is seamless for current users. By logging in with existing credentials, all data and settings from previous apps are automatically transferred to the new Kia App.

Future Developments

Kia plans to expand the app's capabilities further. Future updates aim to better serve business customers and fleet managers by introducing tools tailored to upcoming projects like Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV): the PV5.

Additional services such as flexible mobility solutions via Kia Drive are currently being developed. These enhancements will provide even more value to Kia's diverse customer base.

The new Kia App has already received recognition for its design excellence. It was awarded the 2025 iF Design Award for Mobile Application UI Design due to its user-friendly interface and seamless integration of multiple services.

Kia encourages customers to download the new app from the App Store or Google Play Store as older apps will be phased out soon. This move aligns with Kia's commitment to providing innovative digital solutions that enhance customer experiences.
