New-Gen Kia Seltos To Make India Debut On 10 December
Kia will unveil the new-generation Seltos in India on 10 December 2025, marking the first full-model change for the SUV since its original launch. The global debut is scheduled for the same date, and Kia has confirmed that the new Seltos will bring comprehensive updates to its exterior design, interior layout and powertrain options.
The upcoming Kia Seltos adopts a visibly different stance compared to the current model. According to the initial details highlighted ahead of the debut, the SUV receives a more upright and squared-off overall look. The front fascia features a boxier grille design paired with vertically arranged LED daytime running lamps.
Changes extend to the bumpers and the alloy-wheel patterns, which have been redesigned for the new generation. At the rear, the Seltos gets new LED taillamps and a revised tailgate layout, creating a refreshed appearance for the upcoming iteration.
Inside, the new-generation Kia Seltos will feature an updated dashboard with revised ergonomics and improved surface quality. The interior materials appear upgraded, and the seating design has also been reworked.
The new Seltos is also expected to gain updates to connectivity features and enhancements to the ADAS package. Observers have pointed out the presence of dual-tone upholstery and refinements to the dashboard interface visible in preview imagery.
On the mechanical front, Kia is expected to retain the familiar engine lineup for the new Seltos. This includes the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel engines that form the core of the current Seltos powertrain range.
The new Kia Seltos could also introduce a strong-hybrid powertrain in India, in line with Kia's broader global strategy for efficiency-focused options. Transmission choices are likely to include manual, iMT and automatic options, consistent with the current model's offerings.
The new-generation Kia Seltos will be positioned in the same segment as the current model, and Kia aims to strengthen the SUV's appeal with a combination of updated styling, reworked cabin features and a wide selection of engine options.
With the global and India debut of the new-gen Kia Seltos set to take place simultaneously on 10 December, additional specifications and feature details are expected to be revealed during the showcase. Kia will announce variant information, detailed features and launch plans at the time of the official unveil.
