New Škoda Enyaq SportLine 85 Variant Delivers Extended Range And Competitive Pricing

Škoda is expanding its Enyaq lineup with the introduction of the SportLine 85 model, featuring a single motor and two-wheel drive. This new addition offers enhanced efficiency and extended driving ranges compared to its all-wheel-drive counterpart, the 85x. The SportLine 85 is available in both SUV and Coupé styles, maintaining sporty aesthetics and dynamic performance.

The SportLine 85 models are equipped with an 82 kWh (77 kWh net) battery and a rear-mounted motor producing 286 PS and 545 Nm of torque. This setup allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.7 seconds, reaching a maximum speed of 111 mph. The SUV variant offers a WLTP combined range of up to 354 miles, while the Coupé can achieve up to 356 miles.

Both models support rapid DC charging at speeds up to 135kW and AC charging at a peak of 11kW. Under optimal conditions, charging from 10% to 80% using a suitable rapid DC charger takes approximately 28 minutes, ensuring quick turnaround times for drivers on the go.

Design and Features

The SportLine 85 models come standard with several high-end features that enhance their sporty appeal. These include sports bumpers, gloss black styling elements, and large 20-inch Vega black alloy wheels. Inside, drivers will find front sports seats, a sports steering wheel, a head-up display (HUD), and a premium CANTON sound system.

Driving Dynamics

To complement its sporty design, the SportLine 85 is fitted with progressive dynamic steering and sports suspension. This setup lowers the ride height by 15mm at the front and by 10mm at the rear, improving handling and stability. Both variants also include a variable boot floor and an Area View camera as standard equipment.

Škoda's strategic goals aim for significant growth in Europe by offering attractive entry-level options and expanding their electric vehicle lineup.
