Upcoming New Car Launches In September 2025: Maruti Suzuki Victoris, VinFast VF7, Citroen Basalt X & More
September is set to be a busy month for car enthusiasts in India, with multiple new car launches across the mass-market and premium segments. From Maruti Suzuki's much-anticipated Arena SUV to VinFast's duo of electric SUVs, here's a list of all the important models arriving this month.
1. Maruti Suzuki Arena SUV - September 3
Maruti Suzuki will unveil its all-new midsize SUV (codenamed Y17) through its Arena dealership network. Expected to be named Victoris, the SUV will rival the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos but sit below the Grand Vitara in terms of pricing.

This new model is expected to be powered by a choice of two engines - a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid (103hp) and strong-hybrid (116hp) options. The model is also expected to feature CNG option as well.
2. Citroen Basalt X - September 5
The Basalt range gets a new top-end trim - the Basalt X. Pre-bookings have already started for Rs 11,000. Some highlights include bronze accents, new dashboard pattern, black and tan upholstery, and the model also expected to feature a 360-degree camera.

3. VinFast VF 7 - September 6
The much-awaited VinFast VF7 will finally get its India prices this month. The model sports a coupe-inspired crossover styling, and packs in a large 70.8kWh battery pack. It will be available in both FWD and AWD variants with a range of 450km and 431km, respectively.
Some highlighting features of the new VinFast VF7 include a large 12.9-inch touchscreen, ventilated and reclining seats, Level 2 ADAS, and 7 airbags. The model is expected to be priced around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom).

4. VinFast VF 6 - September 6
Joining the VF7 is the smaller VinFast VF6, making its India debut alongside. It is a smaller SUV measuring 4.3m long and packs in a smaller 59.6kWh battery with a FWD layout. This SUV promises a range of 480km per full charge and comes with features such as glass roof, ADAS suite, and large touchscreen. This model is expected to be priced around Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom).

5. Volvo EX30 - Mid-September
Volvo continues its EV offensive with the EX30, a sustainable luxury SUV. The model packs in a 69kWh battery and promises 480km WLTP-certified range. Performance comes from a 272hp rear-mounted electric motor, and the model is expected to be priced at Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
