Upcoming New Car Launches In India For August 2025

August is set to be a busy month for car enthusiasts, with several new models and concept reveals on the horizon. Following July's notable launches from brands like Tesla, MG, Kia, and Renault, August promises to maintain the excitement. Volvo, Mercedes, VinFast, and Mahindra are among the manufacturers gearing up for significant announcements.

VinFast's India Debut

VinFast will make its Indian debut mid-August with the VF7 SUV. This electric vehicle measures 4,545mm in length and includes features like a 12.9-inch touchscreen and Level 2 ADAS. It offers two power options: a 204hp FWD and a 350hp AWD variant, with respective ranges of 450km and 431km.

The smaller VinFast VF6 will arrive at the end of August. At 4,238mm long, it shares many features with the VF7 but has a smaller battery capacity of 59.6kWh. It supports only a single motor setup offering a WLTP range of 480km.

Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 Coupe

Mercedes plans to introduce the AMG CLE 53 Coupe on August 12. Positioned above the CLE 300 Cabriolet, it features a Panamericana grille and sporty elements like flared fenders and quad exhausts. Inside, expect an 11.9-inch touchscreen and a digital cluster. The coupe boasts a 449hp engine with a top speed of 250kph.

Mahindra's New Models

On August 15, Mahindra will unveil an all-new compact SUV based on their 'nu' monocoque platform. Spy shots suggest it will be under four metres long with design cues similar to Thar Roxx. Engine options might include both diesel variants initially, followed by hybrid powertrains later.

Additionally, Mahindra plans to reveal four Vision concepts: SXT, X, T, and S on the same day. These concepts are expected to expand existing line-ups like Thar or Scorpio but details about powertrains or launch timelines remain undisclosed.

Volvo XC60 Facelift (Price Announced)

The 2025 Volvo XC60 facelift will kicked off August with its price announcement on the 1st. This popular model globally features minor exterior updates such as a diagonally slatted grille and redesigned alloy wheels. The most significant upgrade is an 11.2-inch touchscreen powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipset, enhancing speed and image quality.
