2025 Ram Chassis Cab Trucks Unveiled With Enhanced Power And Upfitter Solutions
Ram has introduced the 2025 Ram Chassis Cab trucks, featuring a new 6.7-litre Cummins Turbo Diesel engine. This engine includes power take-off (PTO) capability for both left and right-side operations. These trucks are designed for maximum performance, combining innovation, durability, and capability to meet the needs of heavy-duty tasks.
The 2025 Ram Chassis Cab offers two engine choices: the new 6.7-litre Cummins Turbo Diesel and the standard 6.4-litre HEMI V-8 engine. Both engines come with an electronic column shifter and TorqueFlite HD eight-speed automatic transmission as standard features.
The all-new 6.7-litre Turbo Diesel engine delivers 360 horsepower and 800 lb.-ft. of torque. In contrast, the 6.4-litre HEMI V-8 provides 375 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque. The collaboration with Cummins has resulted in improvements in drivability, fuel efficiency, and noise reduction.
Enhancements to the diesel engine include a redesigned block and head, robust pistons, a new turbo, larger intake/exhaust valves, and a higher-pressure fuel system. These changes improve durability and efficiency while making service easier through improved intake port geometry.
Ram Chassis Cab trucks are built without a conventional pickup bed but include vocation-specific upfits installed by third-party manufacturers before delivery to customers. These trucks offer industry-standard cab-to-axle lengths of 60, 84, 108, and 120 inches.
For ease of upfit installation, there are no components or lines above the rear frame rails, along with through-the-frame plumbing and electrical systems. The diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank refill port is conveniently located at the rear of the cab on the driver's side.
Advanced Technology Enhancements
The latest Uconnect system in the Ram Chassis Cab line features an improved 12-inch screen with split-screen capability for dual application operation. The Uconnect 5 system offers faster operating speeds and more connected services for enhanced user experience.
New safety features include adaptive cruise control, Forward Collision Warning-Plus, ParkSense front/rear park assist, Drowsy Driver Detection, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Active Lane Management. A fully digital rearview mirror with tow mode provides an unobstructed view from a rear-facing camera.
Pricing and Availability
The pricing for the Ram Chassis Cab models starts at $49,285 for the Ram 3500 Chassis Cab. The Ram 4500 is priced at $55,660 while the Ram 5500 costs $56,770; all prices include destination charges.
The lineup includes Tradesman and Big Horn models built in Saltillo, Mexico. These new models are expected to arrive in dealerships during Q1 of 2025.
Sustainability Commitment
The introduction of these trucks aligns with Stellantis' Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions by half by 2030 while achieving net carbon zero by 2038.
