NASCAR Legends Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, And Others Set For IROC Race At 2025 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion
NASCAR icons Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, Bill Elliott, Ken Schrader, and Bobby Labonte will compete in the IROC race group at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. This event is set for August 13-16 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Joining them are Danny Sullivan and Scott Pruett, promising an exciting lineup for motorsport fans.
Ray Evernham, co-owner of IROC and former crew chief for Jeff Gordon, expressed his enthusiasm about reuniting these drivers with their cars at Laguna Seca. "I think this is the first time several of these drivers, including Jeff Gordon, have raced at Laguna Seca, and to do so during the renowned Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is something I know they will enjoy," said Evernham.
Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, and Bruce Canepa from Friends of Laguna Seca bring their expertise to the track. Brown recently acquired a 1977 Chevrolet IROC Camaro once driven by Cale Yarborough and others. Canepa will drive a Dodge Avenger previously raced by Dale Earnhardt and other legends.
Jeff Gordon's illustrious career includes 93 wins and 477 Top Ten finishes over 30 years. He was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2019. Mark Martin holds five IROC Series Championships with 40 wins in NASCAR Cup Series history. Bobby Labonte will defend his title run as a former Winston Cup Champion.
The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion celebrates historic race cars with 14 race groups featured. The event highlights authentic vehicles from racing history. Entry applications undergo thorough vetting to ensure race provenance and period-correctness.
Bill Elliott's career boasts 44 wins over 37 years, earning him a spot among NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers. Danny Sullivan returns to his "home track" after winning multiple races and capturing the 1988 CART Championship. Scott Pruett's versatile career includes nine American road racing championships.

The IROC race compound offers fans a chance to explore racing history under one tent. Visitors can interact with owners and drivers in an open environment. "We want to engage with fans and make their visit one to remember," Evernham added.
Al Unser Jr., representing the Unser family as honorary pace car driver, will be present for autograph sessions. Ken Schrader's diverse driving experience includes competing in up to 100 races annually across various championships.

Advance tickets for the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion are available online or by phone. Guests can witness over 400 historic race cars competing alongside the return of the IROC series. VIP hospitality packages and camping options are also offered.
