Mulliner Expands Personal Commissioning Options With New Textures And Finishes For Bentley Vehicles
Bentley has expanded its Mulliner Personal Commissioning Guide, offering new interior options for its vehicles. The guide now includes open pore wood veneers and tinted carbon fibre trims, allowing customers to personalise their Bentleys further. With one in four Bentleys featuring Mulliner content, more owners are customising their cars to reflect their personal tastes and values.
The latest guide introduces a variety of new finishes, textures, and colours for the Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Bentayga models. Customers can choose from five natural Tweed fabrics that provide texture and contrast. Additionally, anodised Bang & Olufsen speaker grilles are available in eight colours, including new shades like Kingfisher, Mandarin, and Pillar Box Red.
Mulliner's open pore veneers offer a soft glow and tactile finish that highlights the natural grain of the wood. These veneers use an ultra-thin matt lacquer, reducing lacquer usage by 90% compared to high-gloss finishes. This treatment enhances the beauty of figured wood veneers such as Vavona and Liquid Amber.
For the front console, Mulliner offers pinstriped veneers inspired by luxury yacht decking. These can be specified with straight or chevron patterns in over 100 exterior paint colours. A new 'Wave' metal technical finish is also available for the centre console, featuring intertwined ribbons that create a wave effect.
Carbon fibre interior trim adds a technical feel to the cabin. Besides the traditional gloss black finish, four coloured carbon fibre tints are now offered: Damson, Kingfisher Blue, Imperial Blue, and Cumbrian Green. These tints showcase the carbon weave's symmetry while harmonising or contrasting with other cabin colours.
Personalised Finishing Touches
Customers can opt for a mirror-finish Piano Gloss veneer that matches many standard or special paint ranges as well as interior hide colours. A hand-painted pinstripe running along the fascia and door waistrails can match either the exterior paint or hide colour chosen by the customer.
The guide also includes Designer Suggestions from the Mulliner Design Team. These curated recommendations highlight various colour, trim, and finish options available to Bentley owners. With guidance from a Mulliner Consultant or Bentley Retail Specialist, each owner can create a unique vehicle reflecting their personality.
