MotorTrend Roadkill Nights Powered By Dodge Marks 10th Anniversary With Street-Legal Drag Racing In Pontiac
MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge is set to return to downtown Pontiac on Saturday, August 9. This event will bring street-legal drag racing back to Woodward Avenue. The Dodge Direct Connection Grudge Race will headline the event for the fifth year, featuring a new "Outlaw" format.
The festival, which celebrates car culture, includes drag-racing competitions in Big Tire and Small Tire classes. Attendees can also enjoy Dodge Thrill Rides, a large car show, and interactive experiences for enthusiasts of all ages. The event first took place in 2015 at the Pontiac Silverdome parking lot and will mark its tenth anniversary in 2025.
This year's Roadkill Nights will feature new Dodge products making their debut at the annual horsepower festival. Tickets are available starting at $25 on the official website. A variety of ticket packages are offered for those interested in attending this exciting event.
The Dodge Direct Connection Grudge Race returns with an "Outlaw" format, allowing online automotive builders to compete using engines and parts from Direct Connection. Competitors will use a Direct Connection HurriCrate engine based on the high-output 3.0L Hurricane Twin Turbo engine and a TorqueFlite8-DC1 transmission.
Participants include Demi Bagby, Garrett Dobbs, Morgan Evans, Hooligan Brothers, Deshown Luckey, and John O'Malley. Each racer brings unique skills and vehicles to the competition, promising an exciting showdown.

The Get Your Ass in Gear sweepstakes offers participants a chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge. The grand prize includes VIP tickets and a meet-and-greet with race participants and Dodge executives.
Second-place winners receive $500 worth of merchandise from Dodge and Mopar, while third-place winners get $250 worth of merchandise. Entries can be submitted online until July 21.
