Motorlux Introduces Bespoke Hospitality And Curated Vehicle Displays For Monterey Car Week 2025
Motorlux is set to return on August 13, 2025, marking the start of Monterey Car Week. This event blends car culture, luxury aviation, and hospitality. Guests will enjoy dishes from three Michelin-starred chefs and taste wines from over 40 acclaimed varietals. The event also features a fashion-show-inspired opening night at the Broad Arrow Monterey Jet Center Auction, offering early access to premier collector car sales.
This year’s Motorlux highlights include several themed exhibits. "From Stuttgart with Love" pays tribute to Porsche with various models on display. "America’s Wild Horse - 60 Years of Ford Mustang" celebrates the iconic car's anniversary by showcasing top examples from each generation. The "200 MPH Club" exhibit features cars capable of reaching speeds of 200 mph or more, ranging from 1980s designs to modern hypercars.
The event also honours Bruno Sacco, a legendary Mercedes-Benz designer, through "The Mercedes Maestro" exhibit. This display showcases some of his most iconic designs. Logan Calkins, Director of Events at Hagerty, stated, "Welcoming Motorlux guests means constantly raising the bar on entertainment and hospitality."
Broad Arrow Auctions will join Motorlux for their flagship auction at the Monterey Jet Center on August 13-14. Approximately 150 collector cars will be featured. The first day coincides with Motorlux festivities and includes a selection of 40 lots. A highlight is the well-preserved 1962 Shelby 260 Cobra, CSX 2003, estimated at $1.5M to $2.0M.
The auction also features a low-mileage 1991 Ferrari F40, estimated at $3.4M to $3.7M, and a highly optioned 2018 Bugatti Chiron with an exposed carbon fibre exterior, estimated at $3.0M to $3.5M.
Supporting Community Initiatives
Motorlux supports the CHP 11-99 Foundation, aiding California Highway Patrol families in crisis. The event also benefits the Navy Postgraduate School Foundation, with its car club members volunteering and assisting with the Broad Arrow Auction.
