Morgan Supersport Revealed As 911-Rivalling Retro Flagship
Morgan has introduced the Supersport, the successor to its Plus Six flagship. The new Morgan Supersport model is significantly modified and it underscores Morgan's intent to distinctly separate the six-cylinder model from its four-cylinder counterpart.
The Supersport showcases a fresh design that combines classic Morgan elements with modern aerodynamic features. This approach was previously seen in the Midsummer speedster, developed with Pininfarina as a farewell to the Plus Six.

Morgan Supersport Design
According to Morgan, the Supersport has been redesigned from scratch. It features larger eight-inch headlights from the Midsummer, additional air vents above the grille, and a more curvaceous body with tighter shutlines. The open rear-end diffuser and new rear lights are reminiscent of the Midsummer. These extensive changes required re-crash testing for safety compliance.

The Supersport offers two new wheel designs: an 18-inch 'Superlite' rim or an optional 19-inch 'Aerolite' version. Both are forged aluminium, reducing weight by up to 4.1kg per corner. Other updates include improved bonnet catches, quieter door hinges, and a redesigned rear 'Morgan' script.
Interior and Technology
Inside the Supersport, Morgan has aimed for improved ergonomics while retaining classic styling cues. The dashboard layout resembles that of the Plus Six, featuring Smiths dials prominently. A modern steering wheel and BMW automatic gear selector hint at its Bavarian powertrain. A new slot ahead of the gear selector allows wireless smartphone charging.

The Supersport is also Morgan's first model with hands-free calling via Bluetooth connectivity. New doors house revised speakers for a Sennheiser sound system, and wooden trim options come in 11 finishes. The Supersport is also the first Morgan in around a decade to feature a boot.
Powertrain and Specifications
The Supersport sits on the 'CVX' platform, which Morgan claims enhances refinement and balance while preserving their driving experience. Weighing 102kg with subframes included, it offers a 10% increase in torsional rigidity; this rises by another 10% with the carbon-fibre hard-top fitted.

The steering setup has been revised for better feedback and response. New anti-roll bars, wishbones, springs, and dampers have been added; however, AP's braking system remains unchanged from the Plus Six.
The BMW powertrain continues unchanged: a 335bhp 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged six-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. While performance figures are yet to be announced officially, expect similar acceleration times as those of Plus Six at around 4.3 seconds for 0-62mph.
Morgan Supersport Pricing
The standard price for the Supersport is £102,000—higher than its predecessor's final version priced at £96,995 ('Pinnacle'). This base price excludes both soft-top or hard-top options; adding either increases costs to £105,500 or £107,500 if opting for both tops together. Orders can be placed now with initial customer deliveries anticipated later this year.
