MG Windsor Pro Launched In India: Prices Start At Rs 17.49 Lakh
Today marks the launch of the MG Windsor Pro by JSW MG Motor India, an addition to their electric vehicle (EV) lineup that has already seen significant success with the Windsor. The new MG Windsor Pro is priced at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom), whereas customers opting for BaaS can get the model for Rs 12.50 lakh with battery rental rates set at Rs 4.5/km.
Having sold over 20,000 units within just seven months, the Windsor has rapidly become one of India's favourite electric cars. The Windsor Pro aims to build on this legacy by offering improved range and enhanced premium features, setting a new benchmark in the EV market.
The MG Windsor, introduced in September 2024, quickly captured the market's attention with its impressive features and performance. Powered by an IP67-rated 38kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, it offers a range of 332km (ARAI). The Windsor Pro version elevates this with a more substantial 52.9kWh battery, promising an extended range exceeding 449km on a full charge, alongside additional advanced features.
The Windsor Pro is not just about a bigger battery and longer range; it also introduces new technological enhancements. It includes Level 2 ADAS with 12 features such as adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, and lane departure warning, alongside innovative vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle technology. Despite these upgrades, the Windsor Pro’s design will remain largely unchanged, save for new alloy wheel designs and possibly updated upholstery to refresh its appearance.
The standard Windsor is already equipped with a suite of high-end features like LED lights, flush door handles, aero-lounge seats, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a powered tailgate. The rear seats offer a 60:40 split with a 135-degree recline angle, emphasizing comfort and convenience. The Windsor Pro builds on this foundation, adding even more to its premium appeal.
It is also worth mentioning that the Windsor Pro buyers will get 3 Years/unlimited kilometre warranty on battery pack, 3 year roadside assistance, and assured buyback value of 60% after 3 years.
