MG Windsor Pro Prices Increased Within 3 Days Of Launch
Just three days after its launch on May 6, the MG Windsor Pro, a newly introduced electric crossover, saw its introductory pricing come to an end. Initially set at an appealing rate for the first 8,000 bookings, this offer was quickly snapped up by eager customers. As a result, the cost of the MG Windsor Pro has now escalated to Rs 18.60 lakh (ex-showroom, India), marking a significant increase of Rs 60,000. This surge in price reflects the electric vehicle's high demand since bookings officially began on May 8.
With the introductory offer now expired, the MG Windsor Pro's pricing structure has been updated. The Battery as a Service (BaaS) option, a novel approach to EV ownership, has seen its starting price adjusted to Rs 13.09 lakh plus Rs 4.5 per km. Previously, this service was available from Rs 12.50 lakh at the same per-kilometre rate, indicating a slight increase in costs for prospective owners opting for this innovative payment model.

Revving Up Features and Range
The MG Windsor Pro distinguishes itself within the Windsor lineup through its enhanced capabilities and features. It boasts a substantial 52.9kWh battery, which elevates its ARAI-certified range to an impressive 449km, a notable jump from the 332km range provided by the 38kWh battery in other models. This increase in range underscores MG's commitment to improving the driving experience and addressing range anxiety among EV users.
Moreover, the MG Windsor Pro comes equipped with a suite of additional features over its predecessor. Among these enhancements are a powered tailgate and the introduction of vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities. The inclusion of an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite further enriches the vehicle's appeal, offering adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, front collision warning, and intelligent headlamp control.
A Fresh Look with Exclusive Colors and Upholstery
The aesthetic appeal of the MG Windsor Pro is also elevated through its interior and exterior updates. Inside, the crossover sports a new dual-tone ivory-black seat upholstery, a stylish departure from the all-black interior of the standard Windsor. Externally, it introduces three new color options – Celadon Blue, Aurora Silver, and Glaze Red – providing buyers with more personalization choices.
The MG Windsor's success is underscored by its impressive booking numbers, with 8,000 reservations secured within just 24 hours of the introductory offer's launch. This achievement is a testament to the vehicle's popularity, bolstered by its previously limited range and smaller battery size compared to competitors.
With monthly sales figures previously averaging over 2,700 units and surpassing those of the Tata Nexon EV, the introduction of the Pro variant with its larger battery and additional features only serves to enhance its market appeal.
As anticipation grows, MG prepares to release a comprehensive review of the new Windsor Pro, offering potential buyers and EV enthusiasts an in-depth look at this upgraded model. Stay tuned for this upcoming review, promising to provide valuable insights into the vehicle's performance, features, and overall value proposition.
