MG Windsor EV Prices Hiked By Rs 50,000; Range Starts At Rs 14 Lakh
JSW MG Motor India has increased the prices of its popular Windsor EV across all three variants. This adjustment, confirmed by a dealer source, follows nearly four months after the vehicle's launch in September 2024. The Windsor EV is available in two configurations: with a battery and with a battery rental option. It comes in three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence.
The Windsor EV contributes significantly to MG India's sales, accounting for 49 percent of their total. Prices for the vehicle start at Rs 9.99 lakh for the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model and Rs 14 lakh for the non-BaaS version. The price increase affects all variants uniformly.

MG Windsor EV Price Details
The ex-showroom prices for the Windsor EV have seen a standard hike of Rs 50,000 across all trims. The new prices are as follows: Excite at Rs 14 lakh, Exclusive at Rs 15 lakh, and Essence at Rs 16 lakh. These adjustments mark the end of the introductory pricing phase.
The Windsor EV is equipped with a 38kWh battery pack that powers a front-axle engine delivering 136hp and 200Nm of torque. It boasts a claimed range of 332km on a single charge. While MG continues to offer a lifetime battery warranty to the first buyer, new buyers will no longer receive free public charging at designated stations for the initial year.
Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) Pricing
Under the BaaS scheme, there has been an increase in per kilometre costs for the Windsor EV to Rs 3.9, although ex-showroom prices remain unchanged. The BaaS variant prices are as follows: Excite at Rs 9.99 lakh, Exclusive at Rs 10.99 lakh, and Essence at Rs 11.99 lakh.
MG collaborates with four finance providers in India offering varied monthly running costs for the Windsor EV, which can go up to Rs 6.6 per kilometre. Charging options include a fast charger that juices up from zero to eighty percent in fifty-five minutes using a forty-five kW charger.
For those opting for slower charging methods, it takes approximately six and a half hours using a seven-point-four kW charger and thirteen-point-eight hours with a three-point-three kW charger to reach full capacity from zero percent.
This price revision reflects MG's strategy to adjust its offerings while maintaining competitive market positioning amidst growing demand for electric vehicles in India.
