MG Motor September 2025 Sales Report — 6,728 Units Sold, 34% Growth YoY
JSW MG Motor India posted sales of 6,728 units in September 2025, registering a 34 percent year-on-year rise from September 2024. The month's performance reflected improved consumer demand driven by festive season momentum across multiple segments.
In August 2025, JSW MG sold 6,578 units, which means September showed a modest month-on-month rise of about 2.3 percent. The company benefited from promotional activity and dealer readiness amid the early Navratri period as buyers returned to showrooms.

MG's portfolio showed strength from both internal combustion and battery electric models. ICE models such as Astor, Hector and Gloster continued steady sales, while electric models including Windsor and Comet contributed meaningfully, lifting overall volumes and widening consumer choice across price bands.
The Windsor EV recorded its highest wholesale numbers since launch, and the Comet EV posted its best monthly performance this year. This mixed lineup helped JSW MG maintain competitive momentum, balancing traditional SUV demand with growing EV interest from urban buyers and fleet operators.
GST 2.0 tax adjustments aided demand by reducing ownership costs on many ICE models, with cuts varying notably across variants. These fiscal changes, combined with festive buying, translated into improved footfall and faster inventory turns at select dealers in major metros and tier-II towns.
In Q2 FY26 (July-September 2025), JSW MG's quarterly sales were robust at 19,984 units, up substantially from the prior year's figures. The quarter's growth underscores the company's operational focus on production ramp-up and broader market penetration beyond coastal and metro regions.
While EV wholesale numbers showed some month-to-month variability, the overall electric share remained significant at roughly 3,800 units in September. The mix shift suggests customers are alternating between ICE and EV options depending on availability, range needs and local charging access.
The company reported ongoing efforts to improve supply chain resilience and dealer deliveries amid high seasonal demand. Management highlighted targeted incentives and localized stock dispatches aimed at quicker customer handovers and reducing waiting times for popular ICE and EV variants.
