MG Motor India Announces Price Increase For All Models From July 2025
JSW MG Motor India is set to increase prices across its entire model range starting 1 July 2025. The price adjustment will see an increase of up to 1.5% on models including the Comet EV, Windsor EV, ZS EV, Astor, Hector, and Gloster. This decision comes shortly after a significant price reduction on the ZS EV electric SUV.
The automaker cited "rising input costs and other macroeconomic factors" as reasons for this price revision. Despite the hike, the increase will be marginal for mass-market vehicles. MG is also preparing to enter the luxury vehicle market later this year.

MG's Current Vehicle Lineup
The MG vehicle lineup begins with the Comet EV priced at ₹4.99 lakh, followed by the Windsor EV at ₹10 lakh. The ZS EV is their most expensive electric vehicle, starting at ₹13 lakh. For internal combustion engine models, the Astor starts at ₹11.30 lakh, Hector from ₹17.5 lakh, and Gloster tops the range at ₹41.07 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
MG has pioneered offering Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) in India for its electric vehicles. This service reduces the ex-showroom price significantly, making it more affordable for customers to purchase an electric vehicle.
Upcoming Luxury Models
MG plans to launch new luxury models soon, beginning with the M9 Limousine next month. Following that, they will introduce the Cyberster electric convertible sports car later in the year. These premium models will be available through MG's new Select dealership network.
The company also revealed a more luxurious version of the Gloster called Majestor at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. This model might be released later in the year as part of their expanding premium offerings.
MG Motor India's strategic moves aim to balance rising costs while expanding into new market segments with innovative offerings like BaaS and luxury vehicles.
