MG M9 To Launch Today - Here's What You Should Expect
JSW MG Motor India took the covers off the MG M9 in January at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo (Auto Expo 2025). Now, six months down the line, the MG M9 is set to become MG's most expensive offering in India, when it launches today (July 21, 2025).
The MG M9 is a luxury three-row electric MPV that will take on the likes of the Kia Carnival and the Toyota Vellfire in India. Where the MG M9 differs from its rivals is that, unlike the Vellfire and Carnival, it is an EV.

MG M9 Expected Price & Availability
The MG M9, as stated before, will become the most expensive offering from JSW MG Motor India when it launches today and we expect the electric MPV to command a price tag of around Rs 70-75 lakh (ex-showroom).
The MG M9 will be available to purchase at the firm's premium MG Select showrooms. Deliveries for the MG M9 are expected to start a few weeks from today, though the exact timeline for the same will be confirmed by JSW MG Motor India today.

MG M9 Specs & Dimensions - Range, Charging Time, Performance & More
The MG M9 is powered by a 90kWh lithium-ion battery pack with nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) chemistry that delivers a claimed range of 548km. The battery pack supports 160kW DC fast charging, which can fully charge the M9 in just 90 minutes. The M9's battery pack also supports Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V), Vehicle to Load (V2L) charging.
The MG M9's battery pack is paired with a single electric motor mounted to the luxury MPV's front axle. This electric motor pushes out 245hp and 350Nm of peak torque to the front wheels.
The MG M9 is quite a large vehicle and measures 5,270mm long, 2,000mm wide, and 1,840mm tall. The M9's wheelbase is 3,200mm long.

MG M9 Design & Features
The MG M9, like other MPVs, features a boxy, upright design with its own unique design elements. At the front, it features a split LED headlamp setup, with a large trapezoidal grille, while the rear sports a connected LED taillight setup. Other highlights include multiple chrome highlights, sliding rear doors and 19-inch alloy wheels.

The interior of the MG M9 is draped in cognac brown leather and suede upholstery. The dashboard features a clean look with a "floating" 12.23-inch infotainment touchscreen at its centre, which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The 7-inch digital driver's display sits behind a two-spoke steering wheel.
The highlight of the MG M9's interior are the two captain seats that make up the second row. These seats come equipped with massage, heating, cooling and recline functions along with a fold-out ottoman section for when you really want to stretch out. The M9 also features a Boss Mode feature that automatically slides the front passenger seat forward to free up more legroom.

Other highlights of the interior include the third row of seats that can seat three people, displays built into the armrests of the second row seats that control the various functions, AC vents for all three rows with multi-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof.
