MG Hector Facelift Launched From ₹11.99 Lakh - Internet SUV Gets A Mid-Life Uplift
MG Motor India has launched the MG Hector facelift in the Indian market with a starting ex-showroom price of ₹11.99 lakh for the base petrol manual variant. The three-row MG Hector Plus lineup is priced from ₹17.29 lakh (both ex-showroom).
This introductory price is about ₹2 lakh lower than the outgoing version, marking a competitive entry point for the refreshed SUV. Bookings for the MG Hector are now open, and deliveries are expected to begin shortly.
The MG Hector facelift introduces exterior design updates and notable cabin enhancements while retaining the existing engine options. Both models continue to be positioned as feature-rich offerings in the mid-size SUV segment, with the Hector available in a five-seat layout and the Hector Plus offered with six- and seven-seat configurations.
On the outside, the Hector facelift features a revised front grille design, updated alloy wheels and new paint shades. The overall silhouette remains unchanged, maintaining the familiar proportions of the outgoing model. The Hector Plus facelift receives the same exterior updates, with differentiation coming primarily from its extended body and third-row seating.
The biggest changes are inside the cabin. Both models now get a larger 14-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system with gesture-based controls. MG has introduced hand-gesture functionality for operating climate control and audio functions. The dashboard layout has been revised, and a new dual-tone interior theme has been added to enhance cabin appeal.
Feature additions include a digital key with proximity unlock, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone connectivity and an Infinity by Harman audio system. Higher variants continue to offer Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake and six airbags.
Powertrain options remain unchanged. Both the Hector and Hector Plus facelifts are powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 143 PS and 250 Nm, paired with either a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox.
