MG Cyberster Launched At Rs 74.99 Lakh - The British Sports Car Goes Electric
JSW MG Motor India has launched the MG Cyberster electric sports car. Prices for the MG Cyberster start at Rs 74.99 lakh for new bookings, while pre-reserved units are priced at Rs 72.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The MG Cyberster is the second model that will be sold from the firm's premium MG Select dealerships after the recently launched MG M9 luxury MPV. Deliveries of the MG Cyberster will start on August 10.
MG Cyberster Battery and Performance
The Cyberster is equipped with a 77kWh battery pack that delivers a MIDC-certified range of 580km on a single charge. THe battery pack takes 38 minutes to charge from 10% to 100% when connected to a 150kW DC fast charger.
The Cyberster's battery pack is connected to two motors, one on each axle. This dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setup provides an impressive output of 510hp and 725 N · m of peak torque to all four wheels. The MG Cyberster can accelerate from 0-100kph in a claimed 3.2 seconds.
MG Cyberster: Design & Features
The Cyberster features a low-slung design reminiscent of old British sports cars that has been modernised for its current all-electric avatar. The MG Cyberster features a drag coefficient of 0.269 Cd.
Highlights of the MG Cyberster's exterior design include swoopy LED headlights, a long bonnet and short rear end, scissor doors, arrow-shaped tail-lamps, 20-inch alloy wheels, silver roll hoops, and a folding soft-top. The MG Cyberster is available in four dual-tone colour options—Andes Grey with Red Roof, Flare Red with Black Roof, Modern Beige with Red Roof, and Nuclear Yellow with Black Roof.
Inside the cabin, the Cyberster offers a driver-centric experience with four screens. A trio of curved displays sits atop the dashboard: a 10.25-inch digital driver's display in front of the steering wheel flanked by two 7-inch screens. An additional 7-inch touchscreen is located next to the drive selector on the centre console.
The Cyberster comes loaded with features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Level 2 ADAS, adaptive cruise control, vegan leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and a Bose sound system. It also includes a cabin air filter and a 360-degree parking camera for added convenience.
