The depreciation of the Indian rupee by nearly 10 percent against the Euro over the last four months has notably raised the cost of importing completely built units (CBUs) and assembling completely knocked down (CKD) models. Despite attempts to mitigate these costs by boosting local production, the luxury car manufacturer has found it necessary to pass on some of the increased expenses to its customers.
Details of the Price Hikes
The price adjustments scheduled for June 1, 2025, will see increases ranging from Rs 90,000 to Rs 12.2 lakh, depending on the model. The Maybach S-Class is set for the most significant uptick, with prices climbing by Rs 12.2 lakh. Other models, like the C-Class, will see a more modest increase of Rs 90,000. This round of price adjustments provides a clear indication of the cost implications across various models in the Mercedes-Benz range.
