Mercedes-Benz GLS AMG Line Launched At Rs 1.4 Crore
The Mercedes-Benz GLS SUV now features a new AMG line variant in India. Prices for the Mercedes-Benz GLS AMG Line start at Rs 1.40 crore (ex-showroom). This variant offers AMG-specific cosmetic enhancements both inside and out, while the mechanical aspects remain unchanged.
The GLS AMG Line showcases sportier bumpers with larger air intakes. The wheel arch cladding and side sill panels are painted in body colour, unlike the black finish on the regular GLS. At the rear, a diffuser-like insert with a thin chrome strip adds to its sporty appeal. Inside, it features an AMG-spec steering wheel with a twin-spoke design, stainless steel pedals, and floor mats with AMG lettering.
Pricing Details
The GLS 450 AMG Line is priced at Rs 1.40 crore, while the GLS 450d AMG Line costs Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom). The petrol variant is Rs 3 lakh more expensive than its regular counterpart, whereas the diesel version costs an additional Rs 1 lakh over the standard model.

Powertrain Options
Under the hood, the GLS AMG Line retains its 3.0-litre inline-six petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine delivers 381hp and 500Nm of torque, while the diesel engine produces 367hp and 750Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox that powers all four wheels.
Night Package Option
Customers can opt for Mercedes' Night Package for the GLS, which includes blacked-out wing mirror caps, window line trim, roof rails, and 21-inch alloy wheels. The grille's slats receive a dark chrome finish, complemented by black leather upholstery on the dashboard.
Sales Performance
In addition to the launch of the GLS AMG Line, Mercedes announced its Q1 FY2026 sales results. Between April and June, they sold 4,238 units in India, marking a 10 percent year-on-year growth. Top-end vehicles saw a significant increase of 20 percent in sales during this period. Meanwhile, their electric vehicle sales surged by an impressive 157 percent year-on-year due to strong demand for the EQS SUV.
