Mercedes-Benz Class Of Creators: KidSuper Reveals Unique Superhero CLA Art Piece At Paris Fashion Week
KidSuper, led by U.S. designer Colm Dillane, has reimagined the Mercedes-Benz CLA as a superhero-themed art piece. This unique creation was unveiled at Paris Fashion Week during the KidSuper Spring/Summer 2026 show on June 28. The event took place at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs within the Louvre Museum in Paris.
The collaboration between KidSuper and Mercedes-Benz is part of the "Class of Creators" initiative. This project involves five creative partners who are given a new Mercedes-Benz CLA to transform with their artistic vision. KidSuper is the third collaborator in this series, following previous partnerships with other artists.
The partnership aims to merge youthful energy with automotive excellence, inspiring communities beyond fashion and cars. Known for imaginative storytelling and bold designs, Colm Dillane turned the CLA into a handcrafted "superhero car." Features include turbine wings, balloon details, a winch, rally-style roof rack, and nostalgic elements like a slingshot.
The design incorporates signature cues from iconic Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The wheels nod to the futuristic 1996 F 200 concept car, while side mirrors echo the legendary 300 SL silhouette. Dillane's CLA art piece embodies boundless creativity and enthusiasm.
Alongside the art piece, KidSuper introduced a limited-edition fashion collection during Paris Fashion Week. This capsule collection will be available in September and combines design elements from both KidSuper and Mercedes-Benz. It reflects automotive engineering legacy while capturing car enthusiast culture's spirit.
Dillane's 13-piece collection draws inspiration from his CLA art piece's colors and design. It blends KidSuper's style with menswear tailoring, leisurewear, and mechanic Americana featuring retro elements. The collection includes jackets, shirts, pants, trench coats, hats, bags, and a suitcase made from materials like cotton and vegan leather.
