Mercedes AMG CLE 53 Coupe Launched At Rs 1.35 Crore
Mercedes-Benz India has expanded its AMG portfolio with the introduction of the AMG CLE 53 Coupe, priced at Rs 1.35 crore, ex-showroom. The new addition brings the total number of AMG models offered in India to ten.
The CLE 53 Coupe from Mercedes AMG is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six engine, complemented by a 48V mild-hybrid system. This combination generates a robust 449hp and 560Nm of torque, with an additional 40Nm available through an Overboost function.
The engine is paired with a 9-speed torque converter gearbox that distributes power to all four wheels via the 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system. This allows the Mercedes AMG CLE 53 Coupe to accelerate from 0-100kph in just 4.2 seconds. The CLE 53 Coupe's top speed is capped at 250kph, which can be extended to 270kph with the optional AMG Performance Package.

Externally, the AMG CLE 53 Coupe showcases a commanding presence with its AMG-spec grille and muscular power domes on the bonnet. The vehicle's profile is accentuated by 21-inch wheels with red brake calipers, frameless doors, and AMG side blades, contributing to its sporty aesthetics.
The rear section of the CLE 53 Coupe features distinct wraparound rectangular tail lamps and quad exhaust tips, ensuring it stands out. The coupe's dimensions include a length of 4.91 metres and a wheelbase of 2.87 metres, designed to comfortably accommodate four passengers.
The interior of the AMG CLE 53 Coupe shares numerous features with the Mercedes CLE 300, such as an 11.9-inch infotainment display and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. However, it distinguishes itself with an AMG-specific Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel featuring red stitching and additional touch controls.
Notable amenities in the cabin include wireless support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 64-colour ambient lighting system, a high-quality Burmester audio system, powered seats with memory function, a wireless charging pad, and a head-up display, enhancing both convenience and luxury.
