Mecum Collector Car Auction In Tulsa To Showcase 600 Vehicles This June
Mecum Auctions is set to return to the SageNet Center at Expo Square in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on June 6-7 for its fifth annual event. This year, the auction will feature around 600 classic and collector vehicles from across the nation. Open to buyers, sellers, and spectators, the event promises a diverse range of vehicles, from vintage pickups and muscle cars to modern classics.
Among the highlights are several private collections offered at no reserve. The Tulsa Community Foundation Collection includes a 1968 Shelby GT500KR Convertible and a trio of Mustangs from 1965 to 1970. Proceeds from this collection will benefit the nonprofit organization. The John Tanner Collection features classics from the 1940s and '50s, along with a '70s Porsche and MG.
This year marks the first appearance of The Adventure Zone at the Tulsa event. Designed for children, this play area offers various activities to keep young attendees entertained. Enhanced entertainment options such as dining selections and exhibitors will also be available alongside the auction action.
The Schroeder family celebrates their 25th year with Mecum Auctions by offering nearly 80 vehicles in Tulsa. Their lineup includes special-edition Corvettes, classic Mopars, and modern performance cars. "With 25 years of business now in our rearview mirrors, we still love working with Mecum Auctions," Gary Schroeder said.
The Joplin Collection offers a dozen no-reserve vehicles, including three Corvairs and a 1969 Ford LTD Hardtop. Other collectible rarities from Mercury and Lincoln are also part of this collection. Notably, the number of Camaros heading to Tulsa rivals that of Corvettes, which is unusual for Mecum events.
Vintage pickup trucks are well-represented at this year's auction, with at least 20 Chevrolet C10 models available. The event is family-friendly with free admission for children aged 12 and under. General admission tickets can be purchased online at a discounted rate until midnight Central Time on June 6.
