McLaren 750S Spider Wins Robb Report’s Prestigious 2025 Car Of The Year Award
The McLaren 750S Spider has been awarded the title of Robb Report's 2025 Car of the Year. It outperformed ten other vehicles during a five-day event in Boca Raton, Florida. The car was commended for its exceptional acceleration, impressive handling, striking sound, and eye-catching design.
Unique to Robb Report is its judges panel, which includes both automotive editorial staff and members of the Robb Report private club, RR1—individuals who may already own McLarens or have the means to purchase one. "We are thrilled that Robb Report has named the 750S Spider its 2025 Car of the Year. With the 750S, we have beaten our own remarkable benchmarks, and to have that recognized by a panel of judges made up of customers and prospects makes this award extremely meaningful. One of the judges noted, ‘If you’re looking for a supercar, you’re done—this is it!’ We certainly agree." Nicolas Brown, President, McLaren, Americas
The 750S Spider stands as McLaren's lightest and most potent series-production model. It boasts a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine delivering 740bhp and 590lb ft of torque. The vehicle features a seven-speed transmission with ratios tailored for optimal acceleration.
"McLaren has been a frequent frontrunner in our annual contest," said Luke Bahrenburg, President of Robb Report. "It’s a testament to the marque’s commitment to supercar development and its embodiment of the segment that we had two of its models as contenders for this edition."
The latest version of McLaren’s praised linked-hydraulic suspension system, PCC III, debuts on the 750S. This enhances agility, feel, and feedback significantly. The steering system is sharper with electro-hydraulic assistance and a faster steering ratio.
A centre-exit exhaust inspired by the McLaren P1™ produces a unique crescendo. The exterior showcases an extended front splitter and an elongated carbon fibre active rear wing.
