MC Rental Orders 100 Mercedes-Benz Actros L ProCabins To Enhance Fleet Efficiency And Safety
MC Rental has made a significant move by ordering 100 Mercedes-Benz Actros L trucks featuring the innovative ProCabin. This purchase marks the largest order in the UK for this uniquely designed truck. The ProCabin's sleek front panel not only gives it a futuristic appearance but also enhances aerodynamics, improving fuel efficiency by up to three percent.
The new trucks will be integrated into MC Rental's fleet, which already includes over 2,500 commercial vehicles. These vehicles will be available to customers across various sectors through customised rental solutions. The first deliveries are expected in May, with the entire order fulfilled throughout the year.
Each Actros L 2553 unit is equipped with a powerful 390 kW (530 hp), 12.8-litre six-cylinder engine. The Giga ProCabins offer double bunks, heated seats, fridges, ambient lighting, and extra USB-C sockets for added comfort. These trucks also feature advanced technology to enhance safety and efficiency.
The Actros L ProCabin trucks include Mercedes-Benz’s latest Active Brake Assist, now in its sixth generation, along with Active Sideguard Assist and Front Guard Assist. These systems help meet or exceed current General Safety Regulations. Predictive Powertrain Control and Active Drive Assist further improve driver comfort and efficiency.
Gina Ritrovato, Director of Business Development at MC Rental, explained that customer preferences heavily influence their vehicle choices. "The Mercedes-Benz Actros is popular for its reliability, efficiency, and driver appeal," she noted. Key features include advanced safety technology like MirrorCam and Predictive Powertrain Control.
Ritrovato highlighted the importance of maintaining an average vehicle age of less than two years by replacing older models while expanding capacity to meet rising demand. She praised the bold design of the Actros L ProCabin for its road presence and technological advancements.

The Actros trucks align with MC Rental’s commitment to sustainability through low running costs and reduced emissions. They comply with the latest GRS2 (DVS) safety standards using integrated cameras and radar systems for better visibility and urban safety.
