Mazda North American Operations Reports Record December 2024 Sales And Full-Year Achievements

Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) reported a 1.7% increase in December sales, reaching 40,201 vehicles. This marked the best December sales ever for Mazda, with notable performances from models like the CX-30 and CX-50. The full-year sales for 2024 reached 424,382 vehicles, reflecting a significant 16.8% rise compared to the previous year.

In 2024, Mazda achieved several milestones in the US market. The company set a new record with total annual sales of 424,382 vehicles. Additionally, Mazda received eight Top Safety Pick+ awards from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), more than any other brand. These awards were given to models including the Mazda3 Sedan and Hatchback, CX-30, CX-50, CX-70, and CX-90.

Mazda Sets New Sales Records for December 2024

December saw impressive performances from specific models. The CX-30 recorded its best December sales with 8,875 units sold. Similarly, the CX-50 achieved its highest-ever sales in December with 8,083 units sold. The CX-90 also had a strong month with 5,995 vehicles sold.

Mazda expanded its product lineup by introducing the CX-70 and the hybrid version of the CX-50 in 2024. In November, Mazda Toyota Manufacturing in Huntsville began assembling the CX-50 Hybrid. The company also opened its 329th Retail Evolution dealership as part of enhancing customer experience.

The Mazda Foundation (USA) Inc., continued its commitment to social causes by awarding over $500,000 to various organizations across the United States. This funding aims to address food insecurity and promote equitable access to education and job opportunities.

Global Sales Performance

Mazda Canada Inc., reported a 2.4% increase in December sales with 4,566 vehicles sold. For the entire year of 2024, Canadian sales rose by 23.2%, totaling 72,226 vehicles. Meanwhile, Mazda Motor de Mexico experienced a significant growth of 19% in December sales with 8,677 units sold and an overall annual increase of 31%, reaching 99,797 vehicles.

Mazda's service retention rate stood at 56.2% nationally as of November. The company's efforts to enhance diversity were supported by donations totaling $320,000 through collaboration with eight Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs).

"Our record-setting performance is a testament to the hard work of everyone at MNAO and our dealer partners," said Tom Donnelly, President and CEO of MNAO. He highlighted that launching new models like the CX-70 and expanding their brand platform contributed significantly to their success.
