Maserati MCPURA Super Sports Car Showcases Pure Performance And Elegance At Goodwood
Maserati has introduced the MCPURA, a new super sports car, at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. This vehicle, available as a coupé and convertible, embodies pure energy and performance. The MCPURA is crafted entirely in Italy and represents an evolution of the MC20 Halo Car from 2020. It features a powerful 621 HP V6 Nettuno engine, maintaining Maserati's tradition of high performance.
The MCPURA's design focuses on elegance and character, with its name reflecting its core values. The launch campaign uses the formula E = MCPURA, inspired by Einstein's theory of relativity, to highlight the car's excellence. Maserati COO Santo Ficili stated that the MCPURA reaffirms Maserati's position at the top of the automotive world.
Both versions of the MCPURA are produced at Maserati's historic Modena facility. This location has been central to Maserati for nearly 90 years, where they manufacture the Nettuno engine and assemble each component. Modena is integral to Maserati's identity as it represents Italian excellence in luxury cars worldwide.
The new super sports car was showcased in Ai Aqua Rainbow body color at Goodwood. This color changes under sunlight, creating a rainbow effect reminiscent of light movement. The Trident logo and other details are highlighted in magenta with blue mica, adding to the car's elegance.
The MCPURA boasts several standout features: a carbon-fiber body, "Butterfly" doors for easy access, and a retractable glass roof for the convertible version (MCPURA Cielo). The carbon-fiber monocoque ensures rigidity while keeping weight under 3,307 lbs., achieving an impressive weight-to-power ratio.
The V6 Nettuno engine delivers 621 HP at 7,500 rpm with 720 Nm torque from 3,000 rpm. It incorporates Formula 1-derived technology through an innovative pre-chamber combustion system with twin spark plugs. This engine is a testament to Maserati’s technological advancements.
Customization Options and Color Palette
Maserati offers extensive customization options through its Fuoriserie Program. Customers can choose from over thirty body colors in various finishes. Notable additions include Devil Orange for vibrancy and Verde Royale for sophistication. These choices emphasize MCPURA as a symbol of Italian luxury globally.
The interior features Alcantara Ice seats with laser-etched Trident visuals, creating a futuristic look. The color palette includes iridescent shades that complement exterior details. The "lasered" processing adds three-dimensionality to enhance sporty elegance.

Maserati continues to produce unique cars known for their style and technology across more than 70 markets worldwide. Their lineup includes models like Grecale SUV and GranTurismo grand tourer featuring hybrid powertrains alongside traditional V6 petrol engines.
The MC20 super sports car remains at the top with its groundbreaking Nettuno V6 engine incorporating F1 technologies into standard production cars for the first time. Additionally, Maserati offers electric versions such as GranTurismo Folgore and Grecale Folgore SUV.
Maserati aims to shape future mobility within luxury segments by focusing on customer needs while expanding Italian luxury globally under Stellantis' strategic plan "Dare Forward 2030." They continue innovating through models like GT2 Stradale powered by their most potent internal combustion engine yet—the V6 Nettuno reaching up to 640 hp (471 kW).
