Maserati MC12 Stradale To Headline Broad Arrow's Monterey Jet Center Auction In August

Broad Arrow Auctions, a Hagerty company, is excited to present its flagship Monterey Jet Center Auction on August 13-14. The event will feature a remarkable 2005 Maserati MC12 Stradale, chassis number 12095. This car is one of only 50 made to homologate Maserati's FIA GT1 racer. It has just over 11,500 kilometers and is estimated to sell for $4,800,000 - $5,500,000.

The MC12 Stradale stands out as Maserati's first supercar and played a crucial role in reestablishing the brand in competitive racing. Alexander Weaver from Broad Arrow describes it as "the pinnacle of the Maserati brand." The car shares its base with the Ferrari Enzo but is rarer with only 50 units produced compared to the Enzo's 400.

Beyond the Maserati, the auction will showcase other supercars like the 2008 Koenigsegg CCXR. This model is one of just 11 built and only three in the U.S., offering an analog driving experience (Estimate: $2,750,000 - $3,500,000). Also featured is a 2018 Bugatti Chiron with over $500,000 in factory options (Estimate: $3,000,000 - $3,500,000).

Track-focused machines include a rare 1959 Porsche 718 RSK Spyder (Est. $3,500,000 - $4,000,000). This car was driven by Roy Schechter in 1959 and achieved podium finishes in SCCA competitions. It remains eligible for prestigious vintage racing events.

The auction also highlights Japanese Domestic Market icons such as a rare 1999 Nissan Skyline CRS GT-R V-Spec by NISMO (Estimate: $700,000 - $850,000). This unique R34 model is restored by NISMO's Omori Factory and finished in GV1 Black Pearl Metallic.

Post-war classics include a stunning 1967 Ferrari 275 GTB/4 (Estimate: $2,500,000 - $3,000,000). This model is one of only 330 produced between 1966 and 1968. It features period-correct Giallo Fly paint over black leather.

Collector Car Market Trends

The auction will feature around 170 collector cars across various market segments. Barney Ruprecht from Broad Arrow notes that today's top-tier buyers are younger and focused on performance and usability. They seek rare cars of high quality with low mileage or careful preservation.

The event includes modern supercars and track-focused machines alongside timeless post-war classics and rising JDM icons. Each vehicle represents some of the most desirable collector cars available today.

The Monterey Jet Center Auction marks Broad Arrow's fourth annual flagship sale at this location. Held alongside Motorlux during Monterey Car Week, it attracts thousands of collectors worldwide. Bidder registration and more information are available at broadarrowauctions.com.
