Maserati Unveils MCPURA Super Sports Car And GT2 Stradale At Goodwood Festival Of Speed 2025
Maserati recently showcased its latest super sports car, the MCPURA, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This event marked a significant moment for the brand as it celebrated Italian automotive excellence over four days. The festival featured thrilling track runs and world premieres, captivating motorsport enthusiasts with Maserati's luxurious and high-performance vehicles.
The MCPURA, unveiled on July 10, is a refined evolution of the MC20. It embodies Maserati's performance-driven philosophy in both coupé and convertible versions. Key features include a carbon fibre monocoque, Nettuno V6 engine with patented pre-chamber combustion technology, "Butterfly" doors, and an electrochromic glass roof for the Cielo convertible.
The Maserati GT2 Stradale was a standout at the event, impressing spectators with its powerful sound during the Hillclimb. This road-legal version of the GT2 race car boasts a new racing exhaust system developed by Maserati Corse and TubiStyle. Made from titanium, this system reduces weight by 15 lbs., enhancing dynamic capabilities.
Another highlight was the debut of the exclusive MCXtrema, limited to just 62 units and designed for track use only. This model features a V6 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine derived from Nettuno, delivering 730 hp for an extreme driving experience. Its striking Blue Xtrema livery added to its allure at Goodwood.
On the same track as the Hillclimb, Maserati showcased two interpretations of its vehicles: dynamic refinement and extreme power. The GranCabrio stood out with its Verde Giada livery and perforated Ice top grain leather interiors. Powered by a 3.0-litre V6 Nettuno Twin Turbo engine, it reaches speeds up to 188 mph and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in under four seconds.
Maserati's presence at Goodwood highlighted its commitment to speed and style through models like MCPURA and GT2 Stradale. The event aligned perfectly with Maserati's Year of the Trident celebrations, marking 100 years since their logo's creation. This journey will culminate in celebrating Maserati's first racing victory centenary.
