Maruti Suzuki Introduces Swivel Seats In WagonR - Makes Travel Easier For Seniors
India's leading car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki, in partnership with Bangalore-based startup company TRUEAssist Technology Private Limited, has developed a new swivel Seat mechanism that helps senior citizens and people with disabilities. These swivel seats will be available in 200 dealerships across 11 cities in India. Maruti Suzuki says the expansion will be based on customer response and feedback.
How Maruti Suzuki Swivel Seats Work?
These swivel seats allow passengers to turn the seat towards the door for easy entry, and once seated, it can be turned back to its normal position. This helps senior citizens and people with disabilities easily get in and out of the car. It can be installed on both new WagonR models or retrofitted into existing vehicles within one hour.
This initiative is driven by Maruti Suzuki's corporate slogan 'By Your Side,' and they have decided to introduce it in their best-selling small hatchback, the WagonR. This small hatchback already provides passengers with good space, and with the new swivel seat mechanism, it will be even more comfortable for seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Three-Year Warranty
Maruti Suzuki states that the swivel seat mechanism has undergone multiple safety tests at the Automotive Research Association of India and meets all safety standards. It also comes with a 3-year warranty, giving buyers peace of mind. Customers can order these swivel seats at Maruti Suzuki Arena dealerships.

WagonR's Incredible Accomplishment
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR recently achieved a huge milestone by reaching 35 lakh units in production in India. It offers excellent comfort, mileage of around 25.19 km/l, and peace of mind. It starts at ₹4.98 lakh (ex-showroom) and comes with two petrol powertrain options, including a CNG kit.
