Maruti Suzuki Wagon R Achieves Remarkable Sales Performance In FY2025: Over 1,60,000 Units Sold!
The Maruti Suzuki Wagon R continues to be a favourite among Indian car buyers. Between April 2024 and January 2025, 1,61,397 units were sold in India. This impressive figure highlights its consistent popularity as one of the best-selling cars in the country during this period.
In the first ten months of FY2025, the Wagon R saw sales of 1,60,000 units. Its affordability and features have made it a preferred choice for many. The car's ex-showroom price starts at ₹5.64 lakh for the base model and goes up to ₹7.47 lakh for the top variant.
The Wagon R is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system paired with a 4-speaker setup. It also includes steering-mounted audio and phone controls, enhancing convenience for drivers. Safety features include dual front airbags and rear parking sensors as standard.
Customers can choose between two petrol engine options. The first is a 1.0-litre engine producing 67bhp and 89Nm of torque. The second is a more powerful 1.2-litre engine delivering 90bhp and 113Nm of torque. Additionally, there is a CNG powertrain option available for those seeking fuel efficiency.
The Wagon R offers impressive mileage figures across its variants. The manual version with the 1.0-litre petrol engine provides 23.56km/l, while its automatic counterpart delivers 24.43km/l. The manual edition of the 1.2-litre engine offers 24.35km/l, whereas the automatic version achieves 25.19km/l.
The CNG variant powered by the 1.0-litre engine stands out with a remarkable mileage of 34.05km/kg, making it an economical choice for those prioritising fuel savings.
