Maruti Suzuki Victoris Secures 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating - Level 2 ADAS, Six Airbags & More
Maruti Suzuki, the nation's largest carmaker, today took the wraps off the all-new Victoris SUV. Slotting between the Brezza and Grand Vitara, the new Maruti Suzuki Victoris has arrived with a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP.
The Maruti Suzuki Victoris takes its name from the Latin word for Victory and it will be sold exclusively through Maruti's 3,000+ Arena dealerships across India. The Victoris comes packed with a host of safety features including Level 2 ADAS.

The standard safety kit on the Maruti Suzuki Victoris includes six airbags, ABS, EBD, ISOFIX child seat mounts and electronic stability aids. Maruti has also equipped the Victoris with Level-2 ADAS features, the first time such driver-assistance technology has been offered on an Arena model.
That safety kit ensured that the Victoris scored big when tested by Bharat NCAP. The Victoris scored 31.66 out of 32 points in adult occupant protection and 43 out of 49 points in child occupant protection. These results ensured that the new Victoris became Maruti's highest-rated model yet under Bharat NCAP safety testing.

For adults, the Victoris was rated 'good' for frontal offset test, driver head, neck and pelvis protection, while chest and knees earned an 'adequate' score. The side deformable barrier test saw it get full points. The side pole impact result was marked as 'OK'.
For child protection, the Maruti Suzuki Victoris got all the points on offer in the dynamic test - 24/24 - and in the CRS installation test - 12/12. In the vehicle assessment test the Victoris was given a score of 7 out of 13.

Powertrains on offer in the all-new Victoris mirror those of Maruti's Grand Vitara SUV. Buyers can opt for a 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol producing 103hp, a 115hp strong-hybrid Atkinson-cycle petrol, or a dual-fuel petrol-CNG option. Certain trims will also feature four-wheel drive capability.
The CNG version introduces a key design change. Instead of placing the cylinder inside the boot, the Victoris features an underbody twin-tank setup allowing the VIctoris CNG to retain the luggage space of its petrol siblings.
The Victoris sees Maruti Suzuki achieve its best ever Bharat NCAP safety score. Combine this with a packed feature set and a very agreeable design and the Victoris looks to be a very desirable option for those looking for a compact SUV.
With the Victoris, Maruti strengthens its two-channel SUV strategy..While the Grand Vitara will continue Nexa outlets, the Victoris will expand its reach through Arena dealerships allowing Maruti to finally challenge the dominance of the Creta by targetting its user base in areas where a Nexa dealership is not present.
