Maruti Suzuki Ignis Achieves Remarkable 45% Sales Growth In January 2025
Maruti Suzuki operates two types of showrooms in India: Arena and Nexa. The Nexa showrooms are known for offering premium vehicles, including the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. The latest sales data for January 2025 reveals that 3,780 units of the Ignis were sold. This marks a significant increase from January 2024, when only 2,598 units were sold, reflecting a 45% growth.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis is priced competitively in the Indian market. Its base model starts at Rs 5.85 lakhs, while the top variant is priced at Rs 8.12 lakhs. These prices are ex-showroom rates. The car is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine that delivers up to 83 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

In terms of features, the Ignis offers a range of modern amenities. It includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry, and a push-button start/stop function. Additionally, it provides comfort with a height-adjustable driver seat and automatic air conditioning.
Safety is another strong point for the Maruti Suzuki Ignis. It comes equipped with essential safety features such as a rear parking camera, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, and airbags. These features contribute to its reputation as a value-for-money vehicle for customers.

Despite its recent success, the Maruti Suzuki Ignis has faced challenges in the past. Monthly sales had been hovering around 2,500 units, leading some to label it as unsuccessful. There were even rumours about discontinuing its sales due to sluggish performance.
However, the impressive sales figures in January 2025 indicate a potential turnaround for the model. Whether this upward trend will continue remains to be seen.
