Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition - The First Matte Black Maruti
Maruti Suzuki has introduced an exclusive all-black aesthetic variant for its Grand Vitara SUV, named the Phantom Blaq Edition. The Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq reveal is part of the celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of Maruti Suzuki Nexa premium retail network
The Phantom Blaq edition is only offered in the Grand Vitara's Alpha+ stong hybrid trim It distinguishes itself with a unique Matte Black paint finish, not seen on other Maruti Suzuki cars. It also features blacked-out 17-inch wheels replaces the chrome o he exterior with, black trim, except for the beltline and the Maruti Suzuki badges.
Inside the cabin, the Phantom Blaq Edition retains the existing design seen in the strong hybrid variants of the Grand Vitara. It features an all-black interior with leatherette upholstery, enhanced with touches of champagne gold trim for a subtle contrast.
The Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition sports a 9-inch infotainment touchscreen compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, a heads up display, wireless charger, and a Clarion sound system with 4-speakers complemented by 2 tweeters.
Under the hood, the Phantom Blaq Edition maintains the Grand Vitara's strong hybrid powertrain option. This system combines a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder, Atkinson cycle petrol engine producing 91bhp with an electric motor that adds 79bhp and 141Nm of torque.
Together, the system output is limited to 116bhp which is sent through the e-CVT gearbox to the front wheels. The hybrid variant stands out for its fuel efficiency, boasting an impressive 27.97km per liter.
Maruti Suzuki is now accepting bookings for the Phantom Blaq Edition through its Nexa dealerships throughout India. This edition will compete against the likes of the Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, and Volkswagen Taigun that offer similar dark matte finishes.
The introduction of the Grand Vitara Phantom Blaq Edition not only commemorates a significant milestone for Maruti Suzuki's Nexa outlets but also enriches the brand's portfolio by catering to the growing consumer interest in unique dark themed vehicle editions.
