New Mileage King Coming Soon: Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid To Have 35km/l Mileage!
The Maruti Suzuki Fronx Hybrid, expected to launch in 2026, has been seen few times testing, hinting at its imminent addition to Maruti Suzuki's hybrid lineup. Currently, Maruti Suzuki offers hybrid versions of the Grand Vitara and Invicto.
With the introduction of the Fronx Hybrid, the company is expanding its hybrid offerings, distancing itself from its previous collaborations with Toyota for hybrid technology by moving towards in-house production.
In terms of design, the upcoming Fronx Hybrid is expected to maintain the same design elements as its standard counterpart. Moreover, we expect the interior of the Fronx Hybrid to remain more or less similar to the standard model with the possible exception of a digital instrument cluster on the Hybrid model.
Under the hood, the Fronx Hybrid is set to feature the new Z12 engine, which is also used in the latest Swift model. This engine, coupled with a strong hybrid system, comprises a battery that assists the petrol engine through electric motors. This setup marks a departure from the hybrid technologies seen in the Grand Vitara and Invicto, promising a unique drive experience.
The Fronx's current model is powered by a 1.2-liter engine, delivering 89.73hp and 113Nm of torque. It boasts an impressive fuel efficiency of 21.79 kmpl for the manual transmission and 22.89 kmpl for the automatic. The introduction of the Z12 engine and the hybrid powertrain is expected to not only enhance the vehicle's power but also significantly improve its fuel efficiency.
Thanks to the electric motors and regenerative braking system, the Fronx Hybrid could offer a mileage exceeding 30 kmpl, with an anticipated efficiency of 35 kmpl.
