Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has once again emerged as the most popular 7-seater vehicle in India. In the April 2025 rankings of the top 10 best-selling cars, it impressively secured the fourth spot. This highlights its ongoing appeal among Indian families who prioritise spacious and comfortable transport options. Meanwhile, Mahindra Scorpio, another well-liked 7-seater, closely followed in fifth place, showcasing the competitive nature of this segment.
In April 2025, the Ertiga was chosen by 15,780 customers, surpassing the Scorpio's sales of 15,534 units. The slim margin of just 246 vehicles between these models underscores the fierce competition and varied preferences among Indian car buyers. The Ertiga's starting price is Rs 8,96,500, making it an affordable choice for those seeking a dependable and well-equipped 7-seater vehicle.
The Maruti XL6 stands out with its advanced 1.5-litre K15C Dual Jet petrol engine. This engine offers both a 6-speed automatic gearbox and a 5-speed manual gearbox, complete with paddle shifters for an enhanced driving experience. It delivers a maximum power of 114 bhp and a torque output of 137 Nm, ensuring strong performance across various terrains.
