2025 Maruti Suzuki Eeco Updated With 6 Airbags & New Features: All Details Here

The Maruti Suzuki Eeco MPV has recently undergone significant updates, including safety enhancements and the introduction of a new seating configuration. The vehicle now boasts six airbags as a standard feature across its variants, marking a substantial improvement in passenger safety. Alongside, the previously available 7-seat version has been replaced by a new 6-seat arrangement, featuring second-row captain seats for added comfort.

In the latest model refresh, the Eeco's powertrain has been updated to comply with E20 fuel, a blend containing 20 percent ethanol. This update is in line with the government's push towards using more sustainable fuel options. The 1.2-litre petrol engine, which produces 80hp and is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, now supports this cleaner fuel blend. Additionally, for those prioritizing fuel efficiency, a 70hp CNG variant is available, though it's limited to the 5-seat configurations.

Maruti Suzuki has been proactively enhancing the safety features across its model range, with the Eeco joining the likes of the Alto K10, Brezza, and Celerio, which have all received upgrades to include six airbags as standard. This move underscores the company's commitment to offering vehicles that are not only reliable but also prioritize the safety of their occupants. The Eeco now also includes three-point seatbelts for all seats, front seatbelt pre-tensioners and force limiters, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control, electronic brakeforce distribution, and seatbelt reminders for the front seats.

Despite the safety and seating updates, the 2025 Eeco retains its familiar design aesthetics. The exterior continues to feature rectangular halogen headlamps, vertically-stacked tail-lamps, and 13-inch steel wheels. Inside, the dashboard and three-spoke steering wheel remain unchanged, although there are updates to the trim on the pillars and roof liners to accommodate the new airbags.

As for the interior, the refresh introduces fabric seat upholstery, replacing the previous PVC material, and outboard reclining front seats have been added for better comfort. The 5-seat variants see an improvement in safety with the inclusion of luggage retention in the boot, which helps prevent luggage movement in the event of a collision.

With the introduction of the updated Maruti Suzuki Eeco, the pricing has seen an adjustment across the board, with a uniform price increase of Rs 25,500 for all variants. The entry-level 5-seat variant now starts at Rs 5.69 lakh, while the top-end 5-seater AC CNG variant is priced at Rs 6.95 lakh. The newly introduced 6-seater version, priced at Rs 5.98 lakh, becomes the most budget-friendly option in India to offer second-row captain seats.
