Maruti Suzuki e Vitara To Launch Tomorrow (December 2) - What We Know So Far
Maruti Suzuki will launch the e Vitara in India tomorrow (2 December 2025), marking the company's official entry into the electric SUV segment. The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara SUV has already entered production at the firm's Gujarat plant and is currently being exported to other markets like Japan and the UK.
The e Vitara has been developed on Maruti Suzuki's dedicated HEARTECT-e electric platform, giving it a ground-up EV structure instead of a converted ICE layout. This e Vitara will be the company's first battery-electric SUV for the Indian market and is expected to play an important role as Maruti expands its EV portfolio in the coming years.

What We Know about the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: Battery, Drivetrain, Design & Features
The e Vitara is expected to be offered with two battery pack options - a 49 kWh battery with a single motor setup and a larger 61 kWh battery that may support all-wheel drive in select markets. WLTP-certified range figures stand at 346 km for the 49 kWh variant and up to 428 km for the 61 kWh single-motor version.
The Maruti Suzuki e Vitara exterior styling stays close to SUV proportions with a closed EV grille, strong character lines and a bold stance. The cabin previews show a dual-tone interior, a new two-spoke steering wheel, and large digital displays, including a 10.1-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch full-digital instrument cluster. Additional elements visible in preview units include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lighting and premium interior textures.
Other feature highlights include ventilated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, sliding and reclining rear seats, and a fixed glass roof. The e Vitara's cabin equipment also includes wireless charging, ambient lighting and connected-car functionalities depending on the variant.
Safety features expected for the top trims include seven airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, a 360-degree camera system and Level-2 ADAS, covering highway assist, lane support and collision-mitigation functions. Front and rear parking sensors, hill assist and updated driver monitoring features are also expected across variants.
Maruti Suzuki e Vitara: What's Next - Launch & Beyond
