Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara EV SUV: What To Expect Before Launch?
According to some reports, Maruti Suzuki is set to launch its first electric car, the e-Vitara, on December 2, 2025. This milestone marks the brand's official entry into the EV segment, with advanced features and enhanced safety equipment. The brand also plans to introduce three other electric vehicles by the end of this decade. The e-Vitara has huge expectations, being the first EV car to arrive in this lineup.

Muscular Design
Suzuki portrays the e-Viatara as an SUV, so it comes with a muscular stance, 3-point Matrix LED DRLs, futuristic LED headlamps, smart grill with adaptive shutters, underbody covers, roof end spoilers, blacked-out 18-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels, a sculpted 3-D design, and 3-point matrix tail lamps. Overall, the design is very similar to the ICE Vitara.

Safety and Build
The e-Vitara is built on Suzuki's Heartec e-Platform, featuring 50% high-tensile steel. This platform is designed for next-generation electric cars, with more EVs to be built on the same platform. The e-Vitara is equipped with Level 2 ADAS, along with additional safety features such as 7 airbags, TPMS, and a 360-degree camera view. It comes in 10 different colours, including 4 dual-tone options.
Battery and Range
To improve its efficiency, Maruti has given the e-Vitara a new, improved smart integrated motor and e-Axle. It has a 61 kWh high-capacity battery, with a solid range of 500 km. It also supports home charging and fast charging facilities.

Top Notch Interiors
The electric car features a sunroof, premium Brown/black leather seats, and a dashboard with Ambient lighting and color illumination. It also gets front-ventilated seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat, and Rear seats with sliding and reclining features.
Modern Tech features
Maruti Suzuki has equipped the e-Vitara with all the latest technology, including Driving modes, regen and snow mode, electronic parking brake, PM 2.5 Air cabin filter, and wireless charging.

Additionally, it features a Twindeck floating console with a 26.04cm Multi-information display and a 25.65cm infotainment system along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Harman Audio system, Suzuki Connect with Alerts, Navigation, and schedule charging features.
Price Expectations and Rivals
This car is set to be launched as a Compact Electric SUV that will compete against the Hyundai Creta Electric, the Mahindra BE06, the MG ZS EV, and the Tata Curvv EV. So the pricing is expected to be around 18 lakhs (ex-showroom).
