Maruti Suzuki Brezza Revamped With 6 Airbags & Price Hike
Maruti Suzuki has revamped the Brezza SUV, enhancing its safety features by making 6 airbags standard across all models. This update aligns with stricter safety norms and rising consumer expectations. The price of the Brezza has been adjusted to reflect these improvements, starting at Rs 8.69 lakh for the base model and reaching Rs 13.98 lakh for the top variant.
Safety & Comfort Enhancements
The updated Brezza now includes a 3-point ELR rear center seatbelt, adjustable front seatbelts for shoulder height, and a 60:40 split rear seat for flexible storage. Additionally, it features a rear center armrest with cupholders and adjustable rear headrests, enhancing passenger comfort and convenience.

In terms of powertrain options, the Brezza continues with its 1.5L Smart Hybrid Petrol engine. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. A CNG variant is also available, catering to diverse consumer preferences.
Feature-Rich Offerings
The Brezza retains its advanced features such as a 360-degree camera, Heads-Up Display (HUD), and the SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system. It also boasts over 40 connected features through Suzuki Connect, ensuring a modern driving experience.
With these updates, Maruti Suzuki aims to strengthen the Brezza's position in the competitive sub-4m SUV market. Rivals like Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Tata Nexon are also focusing on safety and feature-rich offerings, making this segment highly competitive.
Market Positioning
The introduction of six airbags as standard enhances the Brezza's appeal among safety-conscious buyers. This move is part of Maruti Suzuki's strategy to meet evolving market demands where safety is increasingly becoming a priority for consumers.
The price revision reflects the added value brought by these enhancements. The CNG variants are priced between Rs 9.64 lakh and Rs 12.21 lakh, offering an economical option for those looking for alternative fuel choices. (All prices in ex-showroom, India).
Overall, Maruti Suzuki's updates to the Brezza ensure it remains a strong contender in its segment by balancing safety, convenience, and practicality effectively.
