Despite rumors and speculation, Mahindra has made it clear that the XUV700 will not undergo facelift or receive updates in 2025. Since its debut in August 2021, priced at an introductory offer (Rs 11.99 lakh), the XUV has enjoyed significant, securing its place as a segment leader.
Its strong sales figures and wide acceptance among consumers have been noteworthy, with the vehicle amassing a record 1.5 lakh bookings within the first year alone. Despite this success, Mahindra has decided against introducing any new updates for the model in the near future.

In the highly competitive mid-size SUV market, the Mahindra XUV700 continues to outperform its rivals. As of February 2025, the vehicle has maintained a dominant position with a market share of over 26%, demonstrating a 14.08% year-on-year growth.

Earlier this month, Mahindra introduced the Ebony Edition, likely the only update the SUV will receive this year. Furthermore, the company has also reduced prices for select variants of the XUV700, making it an even more attractive option for potential buyers. The price cuts, amounting to Rs 45,000 for select AX7 variants and Rs 75,000 for select AX7 L variants, have been implemented without compromising on the vehicle's extensive list of features and powertrain options.

The XUV700 stands out not just for its sales achievements but also for its comprehensive feature set and safety ratings. It boasts an impressive array of premium features, including dual 10.25-inch screens, built-in Alexa, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a panoramic sunroof. The vehicle also offers ventilated front seats, a dashcam, a premium audio system with 12 speakers, wireless charging, and leatherette seats, all accessible through the Adrenox Connect app.
In terms of safety, the XUV700 has been awarded a 5-star rating in Global NCAP crash tests, equipped with 7-airbags, latest-gen ESP, 360° surround view, adaptive cruise control, and a comprehensive range of ADAS features.
As for the future, while there may not be any updates or special editions for the XUV700 during the 2025 festive season, customers can expect discounts and special offers to make the vehicle an enticing option. This strategy indicates Mahindra's confidence in the XUV700's existing design and features to continue attracting customers without the need for immediate enhancements.
