Mahindra XUV 7XO Teased: New Nameplate, Fresh Design & Premium Styling
Mahindra will launch the new XUV 7XO in India on January 5, 2026. Practically, this car will be a facelift of the existing XUV 700 and will carry a new nameplate, more premium features and design elements. The brand confirms its launch with a new teaser.

The teaser provides us with a few glimpses of the upcoming seven-seater car. It could feature a new headlight and taillight design, along with a newly designed front grille. The front fascia appears to take inspiration from the recently launched XEV 9s electric car. The design pattern could be slightly changed as it's an ICE car. The XUV 7XO features a new dual-pod headlight setup.
The car is also set to receive updated bumpers, a revised skid plate, new alloy wheels, and additional colour options. The Mahindra XUV 7XO is expected to offer premium features such as a triple-screen setup, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, sliding second-row seats, front massage seats, rear ventilated seats, multi-colour ambient lighting, and a rear wireless charger - most of which are borrowed from the XEV 9s.
Other features, including dual-zone climate control, Panoramic sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and powered driver seats, are likely to remain. For safety, it will feature 7 airbags, ESC, Auto headlamps, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera system, TPMs, ISOFIX mounts, electronic parking brake and Level 2 ADAS.
The XUV 7XO will be powered by the same 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, producing 200 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque, as well as a 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 185 PS of power and 450 NM of torque. The transmission options will include the same 6-speed manual and 6-speed AT.
The pricing of the new XUV 7XO is expected to start at 15 lakhs (ex-showroom), and the top model could be priced around 25 lakhs (ex-showroom). It will rival cars like the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Hyundai Alcazar.
