Mahindra BE 6 And XEV 9e Crosses 30k Sales In Just 7 Months
Mahindra launched its feature-rich electric cars, the BE06 and XEV 9e, last November. The deliveries began in March 2025, and in just seven months, the cars have crossed a historic milestone of 30,000 unit sales in India.
Both these cars are premium electric SUVs that offer luxury interiors and high-tech features similar to a luxury ICE car. These cars are as powerful as a sporty premium car, delivering a maximum power of 280PS and 380 Nm torque.
Mahindra BE 6 & XEV 9e
The design makes these cars stand out from the rest, with a tall, boxy body with glowing LED headlights and DRLs. These cars look similar to a Lamborghini Urus and offer great performance. These EV cars are built on Mahindra's very own INGLO platform.
Recently, Mahindra launched a Batman-themed special edition for the BE 06, and it sold out. This shows how people love these electric cars, and we expect them to further grow in the premium EV segment.
The XEV 9e and BE 06 come with two battery packs: 79kWh and 59 kWh. The 79 kWh battery pack offers a maximum range of 682 km (BE 6) and 656 km (XEV 9e). The 59 kWh battery pack gives a solid range of 535 km (BE 6) and 542 Km (XEV 9e). Both are Rear Wheel Drive cars with a large single electric motor.
Features & safety
These cars come with best-in-class features like a (12.3+12.3) dual-screen display, AR-based HUD, Ventilated front seats, panoramic glowing sun-roof, 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system tuned by Popular Music director AR Rahman. For safety, Mahindra EVs offer Level 2 ADAS, seven airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, and TPMS. They also scored a 5-star crash rating in the Bharat NCAP.
Prices
The price of the XEV 9 e starts at 21.90 lakh to 30.50 lakh (ex-showroom). BE 6 starts at 18.90 lakh up to 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra also plans to launch the new XEV 9S, a seven-seater variant of the XEV 9e, on November 27, 2025.
