Mahindra XEV 9S Launched At ₹19.95 Lakh - 3 Battery Packs, 6 Variants, 202kph Top Speed
Mahindra has launched the Mahindra XEV 9S in India with a starting price of ₹19.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Pack One Above variant. The Mahidra XEV 9S is the brand's latest model on the INGLO platform after the BE 6 and XEV 9e.
The XEV 9S is available with 59kWh, 70kWh and 79kWh battery packs. The 59kWh and 79kWh units are shared with Mahindra's XEV 9e and BE 6, while the 70kWh unit is exclusive to the 9S. The top Pack Three Above variant with the 79kWh battery is priced at ₹29.45 lakh.

Preference selection for the Mahindra XEV 9S will open on December 14, 2025 with test drives starting on January 5, 2026. Bookings for the electric seven-seater open on January 14, with customer deliveries of the XEV 9S scheduled to begin on January 23.
Power outputs differ across configurations. The 70kWh battery produces 180kW and 380Nm, while the 79kWh version generates 210kW. Mahindra claims a 0-100kph time of seven seconds and a top speed of 202kph for the higher-output version. All variants feature a rear-wheel-drive layout and support fast charging speeds of up to 175kW.

The Mahindra XEV 9S measures 4,929mm in length, 1,964mm in width and 1,745mm in height, with a 2,762mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is rated at 219mm, while the battery pack maintains 222mm of clearance.
Suspension hardware includes intelligent adaptive dampers, a five-link independent rear setup and Mahindra's i-Link setup at the front. The braking system uses brake-by-wire technology with integrated electronic braking. The steering system features a variable-ratio arrangement to support city manoeuvrability and high-speed stability.
The exterior design of the Mahindra XEV 9S incorporates connected LED DRLs, triangular headlamp units and 20-inch alloy wheels. The cabin features a full-width triple-screen arrangement with three 31.24-centimetre displays for the instrument cluster, infotainment system and passenger interface. Higher variants additionally include a VisionX augmented-reality head-up display. Rear passengers receive two more displays mounted behind the front seats.
Boot capacity is listed at 527 litres with the third row folded, and the XEV 9S includes a 150-litre frunk for additional storage. The second row offers sliding and reclining adjustments, while the third row uses a 50:50 split function to improve cargo flexibility. The cabin layout follows a dedicated electric-first design.
Other highlights of the Mahindra XEV 9S include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, acoustic laminated glass in the second row, wireless charging, 5G connectivity, NFC vehicle access and multiple user profiles. The Harman Kardon audio system features sixteen speakers with Dolby Atmos, and the infotainment suite supports various productivity and entertainment applications.
Safety equipment includes seven airbags, L2+ ADAS with five radars and a vision camera, driver monitoring through DOMS, AutoPark Assist and Secure360 Pro with live viewing and recording functions. The SUV also offers camp mode and keep mode for climate management when the vehicle is stationary.
