Mahindra XEV 9S Teaser Reveal Electric Reclining Rear Seats, Boss-Mode & Panoramic Sunroof
Indian SUV specialist Mahindra has dropped the latest teaser for its upcoming flagship, the XEV 9S, ahead of its official debut in Bengaluru on the 27th. The new teaser for the Mahindra XEV 9S reveals key premium features that target comfort.
The latest teaser for the incoming 7-seater reveals that the XEV 9S will offer electrically reclining second-row seats, a dedicated "Boss Mode" for rear passengers and a full-length panoramic sunroof.
Mahindra has confirmed the second row will slide and recline, increasing legroom significantly depending on the mode selected. The teaser shows a wide, low-sill door aperture and a power-operated sliding seat base allowing rear passengers to adjust position, while the third row remains accessible in this seven-seater layout.
The XEV 9S is based on Mahindra's INGLO electric-architecture platform and will join the brand's electric Origin SUV line-up. Ahead of its scheduled launch at the "Scream Electric" event in Bengaluru on 27 November 2025, Mahindra is positioning the model as a seven-seater with premium features rather than merely an EV applied to an existing ICE architecture.
Other visible hints include a dual-pane panoramic sunroof that opens, delivering open-air ambience for all three rows. The teaser also suggests advanced rear-occupant comfort features such as a dedicated control screen, extended legroom and smart lighting effects. Boss-mode functionality appears designed to prioritise the second row seat in a manner befitting executive travel.
Connectivity and technology packages will be at the core of the XEV 9S experience. Previous teasers revealed a triple-screen dashboard, multi-zone climate control, captain-chair options for the second row and a full-size frunk. With the new teaser, Mahindra looks to be elevating its upcoming offering further by focusing on rear-seat luxury.
With the premium-focused feature set, Mahindra appears intent on attracting larger family buyers and chauffeured-use customers in addition to conventional SUV buyers. The Mahindra XEV 9S will compete in the seven-seater electric SUV segment, and these comfort-enhancing choices help it stand out ahead of its market introduction.
